The Empire (Alamo) engine shown in the accompanying photos is serial #55234. On team trucks, with a 28" clutch pulley built by Minister Mach. Co. of Ohio. This Empire is a throttle governed 12h.p. at 280 r.p.m. Bore 7-3/4" x 12" stroke and the flywheels are 44 inches in diameter. The Alamo Engine Co., of Hillsdale, Michigan, U.S.A., had been in business since 1901 and was dissolved under court dissolution order dated August 18, 1932. The ALAMO firm also built the Alamo, Alamo Blue Line, Rock Island, Moody, Flying Dutchman and the Empire Cream Separator engines.
