All the cast part numbers on this engine have the prefix Q
with the part numbers. |

When Gilson ceased production of their 1-3/4hp Style U,
it was soon replace with a similar but larger 2-1/2 Style Q
engine. Like the style U, the style Q came in two versions;
the ones with the line shaft and the 5 interchangeable pulleys
and the ones without the ears on the sides of the water hopper
and on wood skids. |
