This is a GILSON Style "E" gasoline engine built by the
GILSON Mfg. Co. of Port Washington, Wisconsin, U.S.A.
The Style "E" model was built from 1904 to about 1911.
It is an air cool engine, that uses Jump Spark Ignition.
It is rated at 1-1/2hp, the serial number is 11795 and
this particular one was probably built in 1909 or 1910.
The 1-1/2 hp Style "E" air cool Gilson runs at 475 RPM, the
cylinder bore is 3-3/4 inches, the stroke is 4-1/2 inches,
the diameter of the flywheel is 16-1/2 inches and the
weight of the engine is 330 pounds.
